BV House stands on the New Golden Mile, the stretch of the Costa del Sol that runs between Marbella and Estepona. It is close enough to Marbella to belong to it, and far enough to keep the quiet — which is the whole point.
People often ask where to stay near Marbella when they want the boutique feeling without the crowds. The answer, increasingly, is this side of the coast. The New Golden Mile is the calmer, greener neighbour of Marbella's original Golden Mile — gardens instead of high-rises, the sea a few minutes one way, the mountains the other. It is where a charming small hotel near Marbella can still hear itself think.
The address is real and honestly ours: Calle Támesis 16, 29688 Estepona. We describe ourselves as the Marbella area because that is how this coast reads and travels — the town, its restaurants and Puerto Banús are a short drive east, and guests move between them all evening. This is simply the discreet end of it.

The last stretch is the only part that needs a word — a minute of turn-by-turn from the main road, so you find the gate the first time.
Step outside and the best of the coast is within reach: the beaches and beach clubs of the New Golden Mile, some of Europe's finest golf a few minutes inland, and the marinas and dining of Puerto Banús and Marbella a short drive on. You can spend the day at a beach club and still be back at the house for the spa before dinner.
For a certain kind of traveller, this is the better half of the Costa del Sol — the quiet luxury side, where the villas outnumber the towers and the pace drops the moment you turn off the main road.
